About Us

Jelli Tots is a private nursery based in Kilburn, North West London, offering outstanding childcare and education for children aged from two to five years old. The nursery has been established since 1999 and is owned and managed by Wendy Kelly, who works closely with the rest of the staff team to maintain a high quality of provision.

The nursery is open Monday to Friday, offering part time places from 9am to 12.30pm and full-day care from 9am to 3pm.

Our Mission Statement:

At Jelli Tots Nursery we are committed to providing an inclusive environment in which all children can thrive and develop to their full potential.

Our staff team aim to offer a friendly and welcoming presence for children, parents and visitors.  Practitioners are well qualified and committed to advancing their skills and knowledge through reflective practice and continuous professional development. They develop close relationships with children; ensuring that each child’s physical, emotional and educational needs are catered for.

We recognise parents as their child’s first and most enduring educators, and therefore see it as a priority to develop and maintain strong partnerships; sharing and discussing their child’s experiences and development at home and within the setting.  We maintain an ‘open-door’ policy, where parents are welcomed into the nursery.

We aim to offer an exciting and stimulating learning environment.  Children learn through a range of child-initiated and adult-led activities, and open-ended resources are widely used to capture children’s interest and imagination.  Our practitioners support and monitor children’s progress; carefully planning for their next steps and helping them to become confident to try out new things and take risks in their learning.

We take a holistic approach to children’s development; looking at their well-being, involvement, physical needs and social skills in addition to their academic progress.   Our curriculum plans are based upon children’s own ideas and interests; helping them to enjoy their time at nursery and become active and enthusiastic learners.
